REVISITING THE SONICAL SERIES, PART II REVIEW

As we reach the culmination of the sonical series by quintessential arts©, we are posed with but one question. How long does it take for people to catch up? To new sounds? A new way to make music, propose greater ideas in and out of the artistic realm.

Is decoding an idea so important that people with no musical background were brought together, recorded over daunting instrumentals tailor made for certain voices and tempos while saying arguably the flyest things they could ever say in their lifetime. All this so that ideas can be discussed at a sonical orbit?

Let’s look at everything chronologically, The Beat Pack gets released on SoundCloud and racks up a satisfying number of streams, for a clothing company that is, followed by The Sonic L.P which are later taken down and moved to relevant digital streaming stores where the discography can be monetized.

The records were being made from interviewer/interviewee standpoint, well The Sonic L.P, everything else was scripted and vigorously curated reminiscent of the golden age of hip hop and blues pioneers such as Robert Johnson.

Quality music? Experimental music? Or excuse the french, bullshit music? Sounding unrefined was immature/amateur but that represented everything quintessential arts© stands for, every part of it and maybe for the last time paying respects to the culture by which it is built on - hip hop culture, a culture bigger than any cult, religion, or organization to ever grace the earth.

Why would a fashion house want to propose ideas at such a scale, because between writing the music, mixing, mastering and engineering that’s a lot of work then publishing it.

Is it for omnipresence? Vanity? Is it to prove a point, and if so which one and to who? Maybe but no, it’s not any of that; quintessential arts© is an artistic organization in every sense and we plan on tapping into other artistic avenues and experimenting with them as we did with the sonic.

The sonical series will always live but it will keep getting morphed into way more peculiarities than it is now.
