CELESTIAL EXPERIENCE REVIEW, PT.2

Less than a split second into the first song neatly designated “Black Madonna”, a figure that’s been at the mercy of scrutiny and misconceptions for multiple centuries we hear a crystallized voice hit the eardrums, it’s none other than the infamous Ye formerly known as Kanye West who at that time was the beloved and decorated artist giving a speech at Harvard University. In that moment, the project dealt its hand right off the bat, but wait…that might’ve been a poker face, controlled chaos that is. The song shamelessly embraces the dark side of life “Darkness is the one true actuality. The basis and the root of light without which the latter could never manifest itself”; the idea that there’s no heaven without hell, a king without a kingdom to rule. What’s God without the populous? Playing out like a prayer “our queenship thou art full of Grace, goodness and mercy” these are words over a slow-paced hypnotic drum-less melody dealing with the originators of modern civilization as we know it, it’s the Etruscans, a civilization whose history is overlooked or to tell it like it is - shelved. You could go in almost every corner of the internet yet there’s little to no information about this remarkable people that set the tone for what Rome would be.

“Five Elements” is the flamboyant record, the showoff that doesn’t need to show off because its presence is acknowledged. This record was a mashup of different styles in the sonical signature. It’s the skyscraper, the monumental, logic defying soundscape with sounds moving in unison yet different directions as if each one is fighting to tell its story in the runtime it’s been given and indeed, each of the four elements told their story to bring into fruition the fifth element: Aether, the organization known as quintessential arts.

If you’re going to target the system play the opening like a book, the middle game like a magician and the endgame like a machine. “Knowledge of Self” borrowing its title from what a Malcom X follower may have called being self-aware. Knowledge of self is the 3rd track on the celestial experience at first it plays out like a story, the kind your grandparents with forbidden knowledge would tell you at the fireplace while telling you ‘Do not be scared’ this record like “Black Madonna” taps into the origins of the Etruscan civilization and its culture and practices but the intermissions tell a story of their own. It sort of becomes a story within a story urging mundanes to go back to the basics while hinting that these organizations which are targeted on these records start acting ethically otherwise, they may have an entire collection targeted at them for their heinous crimes.
