THE MESSAGE

“Academia isn't bad a route when exploited the right way” if you told me this in 2020 prior to starting this thing of ours I would’ve said that’s a bluff. I hated being institutionalized or thinking the traditional way, I still do. Three years in. No amount of speaking or writing can begin to best express my sentiments, the people this organization has granted me the luxury of knowing, the knowledge it has bestowed upon me, the curiosity it enables and how it’s helped me gravitate back to what I love most: ethics, law and philosophy. I’ve searched for God in domains you wouldn’t begin to imagine, it’s not even about not knowing that there is a supreme deity but asking questions such as “do we recognize the supreme deity in art even in its state of decay?” Like Voltaire said, “you must have the devil in you to succeed in any of the arts” and a huge number of his unsettling wise words but really what he meant was we need tough times to experience pleasurable ones. But for me? Besides the very tiny war chest. Our arsenal is all I'd wish it to be, everything has been relatively smooth you'd swear we're long past the winters...
